5 Steps To Becoming A NFT Artist in 2022
Who can become NFT artist?
Are you an art passionate person? are you holding applied arts, interior design & visual art, fine arts masters degree holder & still jobless? or looking to earn passive income.
You can be the perfect person to create NFTs design & sell your digital art online.
Irreplaceable tokens have had a huge impact on the digital art community. Before the arrival of NFT, artists never had the right platform to sell any of their digital creations. With all the hype surrounding these digital art works, it’s hard to resist the urge to jump in and get a share of the pie. But how do you truly become an NFT artist?
To become an NFT artist, follow these 10 steps:
Choose your art niche
Decide how you will create your art
Choose a digital art file format
Create your own digital art
Sell your NFT art
Create your subscription
Be active in the NFT community
Stay consistent
Be true to yourself and your artwork
Do not give up
The creation of digital art is not new and has been in practice since the first digital art work was created in the early 1980s. It was when a computer engineer designed an art program for use by digital artist Harold Cohen. Today, creating digital art is as easy as opening a paint program, taking a picture with your mobile phone, applying a filter, posting it and publishing it to the world.
You may already be a digital artist, you may not understand it. If you take a picture with your cell phone or scribble on a document, you are already an artist. Just hone your skills.
If you want to be an NFT artist, you need to perform some basic steps. That said, becoming an NFT artist is easier than you might think, but getting more followers and staying consistent is a place where things can get rough.
1. Choose Your Art Niche
2. Decide How You’ll Create Your Art
3. Select Your Digital Art File Format
4. Create Your Own Digital Art
5. Sell Your NFT Art
Following are the most common NFT marketplaces on the web
OpenSea.io | Pro: Good for beginners Con: The catch-all for NFTs |
Rarible.com | Pro: Easy to mint tokens Con: Art is hit or miss |
NiftyGateway.com | Pro: Premier Marketplace Con: Must apply to be an artist and you can only deposit Nifties from collections launched on Nifty Gateway |
SuperRare.co | Pro: High-end pieces Con: Slow onboarding/ must apply to be an artist |
My advice when selling NFTs for the first time is to create an account on all sites and post art on simpler sites such as OpenSea and Rarible. Once the art is complete and some of the work is done, apply for artists from other sites (Nift Gateway and SuperRare) that require application reviews.
